Join us to learn the fundamentals and skills of football for future Zeeland East football players! Campers will learn proper football technique and have an opportunity to participate in organized scrimmages! Helmets and pads are not allowed. Please wear athletic clothes, athletic shoes (cleats preferred), and bring a water bottle.

5 yr olds-kindergarten FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUES

5 Yr Olds-KG (2026-27 Grade Level)

Join us for our fun new 5 Yr Olds-KG Flag Football League, a development-first league designed specifically for our youngest players! This league meets once per week, with practice and gameplay combined into a single session each week. The league will be run as a 6v6 format, with coaches acting as quarterbacks, calling plays, starting and stopping games, rotating players, and keeping the session upbeat and flowing. The emphasis is on building confidence, teamwork, and a love of the game... all in a friendly, low-pressure, fun-first environment! Teams are formed using a combination of feeder school placement, pre season skill ratings, and "buddy" requests with oversight from the Zeeland Recreation Youth Sports Coordinator (all participants are assigned to a team and receive playing time regardless of skill level). After team assignments are finalized and approved, coaches will contact parents directly with team information, practice and game schedules.

1st-2nd grade & 2nd-3rd grade FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUES

1st-3rd Gr (2026-27 Grade Level)

This is the perfect league to set a foundation for future success in football. Practices begin in mid-August, with games on Saturdays through September and October. For 1st & 2nd graders, we run a 6v6 format with a coach at quarterback; for 2nd & 3rd graders, we run a 7v7 option, with players playing all positions (including QB). 2nd graders have the option to choose between the 6v6 coach-QB league or the 7v7 kid-QB league. Players in all levels will learn key skills such as passing, catching, route running, and basic offensive and defensive strategy, all while getting plenty of playing time. Join us to develop a lasting love for the game in a fun, supportive and low-pressure environment! Teams are formed using a combination of feeder school placement, pre season skill ratings, and "buddy" requests with oversight from the Zeeland Recreation Youth Sports Coordinator (all participants are assigned to a team and receive equal playing time regardless of skill level). After team assignments are finalized and approved, coaches will contact parents directly with team information, practice and game schedules. Note: 3rd graders now have the option to play to choose between this 7v7 league or our Rocket Tackle Football League for 3rd-6th graders.

3rd-6th grade rocketFOOTBALL LEAGUES

3rd-6th Gr (2026-27 Grade Level)

Join us for our Rocket Tackle Football League to take your skills to the next level while also having fun and making lifelong memories! This program will teach all aspects of tackle football to better prepare kids for middle school and high school football. 3rd-4th graders play together and 5th-6th graders play together, with both levels competing against other area schools in the West Michigan Junior Football League (WMJFL). This league includes 2-3 practices per week along with games on Saturdays. Teams are formed using a combination of skill ratings and recorded player size/age. Player evaluation practices are managed by league coaches, with oversight from the Zeeland Recreation Youth Sports Coordinator. All participants are assigned to a team and receive playing time regardless of skill level. Playing time is balanced based on player size, position, and coach discretion. After team assignments are finalized and approved, coaches will contact parents directly with team information, practice and game schedules.
