ZE FATHER-SON QUARTERBACK CLINIC

3rd-8th Gr

This is a great opportunity for father-figures and sons to learn about the quarterback position together so they can use the skills they learn to continue practicing at home! Participants will learn proper throwing and footwork fundamentals that are essential to success on the field. Please enroll child only. Register based on 2023-24 grade level.

Join us to learn the fundamentals and skills of football for future Zeeland East football players! Campers will learn proper football technique and have an opportunity to participate in organized scrimmages! Helmets are not allowed. Register based on 2023-24 grade level.

FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE (7v7)

5 Yr Olds-2nd Gr 

Join us for our Fall Flag Football League to improve your skills and make lifelong memories! This is the perfect league to set a foundation for future success in football. Practices start in mid-Aug with games taking on Saturday in Sept and Oct! 5 Yr Olds-1st Gr play together in one league with coaches playing Quarterback, while 2nd graders play together in the other league with players playing Quarterback. 5 yr olds: register based on age at the start of the program. K-2nd Gr: register based on 2023-24 grade level.

  • Team Placements: Team placements will be finalized by Fri, July 28. Parents will get team placements, practice schedules and game schedules in early August
  • Team Formation Process: We will form evenly skilled teams via skill ratings. If it is your child's first year of this league, parents will assign their child a skill rating during the registration process. At the end of this season, volunteer coaches will give each child a skill rating and that rating will be used to form evenly-skilled teams next year. All kids get placed on a team and receive equal playing time.

ROCKET TACKLE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

3rd-6th Gr

Join us for our Rocket Tackle Football League to take your skills to the next level while also having fun and making lifelong memories! This program will teach all aspects of tackle football to better prepare kids for middle school and high school football. 3rd-4th graders play together and 5th-6th graders play together, with both levels competing against other area schools in the West Michigan Junior Football League (WMJFL). This league includes 2-3 practices per week along with games on Saturdays. Register based on 2023-24 grade level.

  • Team Formation Process: We form evenly skilled teams via a combination of skill ratings and team formation practices. Each child’s skill rating was given to them by their coach from the previous season (if they played last year) and/or the rating the parent/guardian gave their child during the registration process. All kids get placed on a team and receive equal playing time. 
  • Team Formation Practices - Aug 7, 8, 9:
    • The purpose is to help form evenly skilled teams. Coaches will be running drills while evaluating skills. After the Team Formation Practices end, coaches will work together to form evenly skilled teams (with oversight from Zeeland Rec staff)
