AQUA MIX (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This is a medium-intensity deep water workout that combines cardio, core and strength training! Interval training, resistance equipment and suspended movements will all be incorporated in order to help you burn fat, develop muscle tone and improve your cardiovascular fitness!

BARRE FUSION (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This is an upbeat, low-impact strength workout that enhances your muscle tone, posture and flexibility! This class blends ballet, strength training, music and mind-body movement. All exercises will focus on precision and concentration for ultimate results. Each movement can be modified to match your unique skill and strength levels.

CARDIO SCULPT (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This is a circuit-style class that combines cardio, strength and core training into a fun full body workout. Each workout includes HIIT (high intensity interval training), strength training and powerful Pilate moves that will help you burn calories and tone muscles while also improving flexibility, balance, and core strength.

CLASSICAL YOGA - LEVEL 1 (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This is the perfect class for those new to yoga! Join us to develop muscle strength/tone, improve balance/posture, increase flexibility, reduce injuries and to feel GREAT! This beginner level class is taught in the Iyengar Method, which focuses on accessibility for all ages and body types. If you’re unsure between Levels 1 and 2, attend Level 1 first and then speak with the instructor before or after class for guidance on the best class for you.

CLASSICAL YOGA - LEVEL 2 (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This class is for more experienced yogis. The emphasis will be on increasing endurance and refining individual corrections in order to help you develop muscle strength/tone, improve balance/posture, increase flexibility, reduce injuries and to feel GREAT. In this advanced level class, a wider variety of complicated poses are introduced, including inversions and backbends. Participants are encouraged to attend our Level 1 class before joining Level 2 so our instructor can recommend the best class for you.

DEEP WATER WALKING (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

Deep Water Walking is a non-instructor led aquatics program that allows time in the pool to exercise at your own pace (treading, walking, water weights, etc). It's an excellent cardio and muscular workout that helps prevent injuries and stress on bones and joints. The deep end of the pool only is available at this time. Fitness equipment is available. 


FIRM H2O (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

Each class includes 30-minutes of shallow water high intensity interval training followed by 30-minutes of strength and endurance training throughout the pool for an effective total body workout!

GENTLE YOGA

This gentle yoga class is perfect for both seniors and beginners! Join us to ensure you remain independent and enjoy a full life as you age. Participants will develop muscle strength/tone, improve balance/posture, increase flexibility, reduce injuries and to feel GREAT! This beginner level class is taught in the Iyengar Method, which focuses on accessibility for all ages and body types. A high energy class that combines shallow and deep water components to improve strength, endurance and cardiovascular performance.

MOBILITY TRAINING (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

Strength, flexibility, posture, and balance... this class addresses all four of these critical movement skills! This class is a fusion of body weight training, active stretching, yoga and Pilates and it will leave you feeling strong and agile!

MUSCLE MAX 30 (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

This is a 30-minute workout designed to develop muscular strength and endurance while also increasing lean muscle mass. Get your muscles ready for a GREAT workout!

This is a low-medium intensity shallow water class. It's designed to improve coordination, joint stability, heart health and strength. It also incorporates cardio and strength movements with low-to-no impact moves. Perfect for beginners or seniors!

A fusion class that provides a great cardiovascular training on the bike along with an off-the-bike strength workout, to create a stronger, more balanced body that performs better both in and out of the studio.

STRENGTH & STRETCH (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

A low impact class aimed to tone, strengthen and stretch your whole body. In each 45 minute class, we will use a variety of weights, resistance bands and other fun tools to meet our individual fitness needs and accomplish our health goals! All experience and fitness levels are welcome to join this total body workout class!

WATER FITNESS (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

Water Fitness is open pool time for participants to lead themselves through any aquatics workout of their choice (treading , walking, aquatics weights, etc). It's an excellent cardio and muscular workout that helps prevent injuries and stress on bones and joints! 


YOGA FLOW (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

In this class, we’ll mindfully move our bodies to strengthen and stretch muscles. Yoga flow uses movement to increase heart rates for a calorie-burning, total body workout! For all levels. No experience necessary!

ZUMBA (12 Yr Olds-Adults)

Zumba is an energizing dance fitness class that will tone and sculpt your entire body while doing moving to the beat of your favorite music. You’ll burn lots of calories and have a great time doing it!

ZUMBA GOLD

This class is great for active older adults looking for a modified Zumba class at a lower intensity that introduces easy-to-follow choreography with a focus on balance, range of motion, and coordination.

100 MILE SWIM CLUB (8 Yr Olds-Adults)

Want to get in great shape? Become a part of the Zeeland Recreation “100 Mile Swim Club” by swimming 100 miles in 12 months! Participants will keep track of your miles after each lap swim or water fitness workout on the tracking sheet that will be located on our pool deck at Zeeland Recreation pools. You’ll then be able to follow your progress through our monthly postings. If you hit your goal you will not only be feeling and looking great, but you’ll also receive a Zeeland Recreation towel and a 100-Mile Club decal sticker to show off your achievement! Start any time of the year! Simply stop in our fitness center to get started! All swim styles and techniques are welcome.

  • Distance Guidelines:
    • 100 miles = 165,000 yards or 3,300 laps
    • 1 mile + 1,650 yards, 66 lengths or 33 laps
    • Length = One end of the pool to the other end (25 yards)
    • Lap = Down and back (50 yards)
    • 2 miles a week = 100 miles in 50 weeks
    • 3 miles a week = 100 miles in 33 weeks
    • 1 mile a day x 5 days a week = 100 miles in 20 weeks

Zeeland Rec is a SilverSneakers and Silver&Fit participating fitness center!
