homeschool swim program

5-12 Yr Olds

This class is designed for children ready to build confidence and become stronger, more well-rounded swimmers. Participants will develop freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, floating, gliding, kicking, treading water, and other essential water safety skills while increasing endurance and confidence in deeper water. Each session includes a 30-minute instructor-led lesson followed by 30 minutes of free swim time, giving swimmers extra opportunities to practice skills, build endurance, and enjoy time with their homeschool peers. Swimmers who master these foundational skills may be ready for our Deep Water Swim Skills program. If you're unsure whether your swimmer is ready, contact Programming Secretary Robyn DeYoung at rdeyoung@zps.org to schedule a free 10-minute swim assessment.

All Ages

Take a midweek break and make a splash together! Homeschool Family Open Swim offers dedicated pool time for families of all ages—from infants to adults—to swim, play, and enjoy the water at their own pace. Families can take advantage of the diving board, youth slide, basketball hoops, and a variety of toys, floats, life jackets, puddle jumpers, and infant floats. Whether you're building water confidence, practicing skills, or simply having fun together, this open swim provides a welcoming space for family recreation and connection.

Note: Open Swim is open to the general public on school half-days, snow days, and select holidays and may not be exclusive to homeschool families on those dates.
