Our gymnastics program empowers your child to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness! Each session includes rotating skill stations — balance beams, uneven bars, vault, and floor routines — to foster well-rounded development. Join us! Please note: all participants must be potty trained.

    • Tots (3-4 Yrs): Working on somersaults, jumping, balance, swinging 
    • Beginners (5 Yrs+): Working on somersaults, cartwheels, jumping, balance, swinging
    • Intermediate (5 Yrs+): Prior to the program, participants must be able to do cartwheels and bridges. During the program, participants will work on handstands, round-offs, high beam work, pullovers, hip circles
    • Advanced (5 Yrs+): Prior to the program, participants must be able to do cartwheels, bridges, backbends, and be working on walkovers. During the program, participants will work on back and front walkovers, handsprings, aerials, squat-ons, straddle-throughs, balance beam dismounts, hip circles

Join us to improve your child's body control, motor skills, and physical awareness through music, games, and other enjoyable activities! This class aims to boost your child's confidence and independence in using their bodies, laying a strong foundation for mastering more complex skills as they grow older. All children must be potty trained. Enroll based on age at start date.

PARENT-CHILD SING SONG YOGA

2-6 Yr Olds + Guardian

Sing Song Yoga® is an international kids musical yoga program in which song lyrics instruct children how to get into the poses and yoga-based activities. This is a fast-paced, 30 minute class created specifically for 2-6 yr olds that will help your child develop motor skills and attention span while also making fun memories with a parent or caregiver! Parents and kids sign up for this yoga class together. Enroll based on age at start dates.

3 Yr Olds-6th Gr

Join the Zeeland Dance Company for a Spring themed day of fun! Participants will learn dance techniques, dance routines, play movement games, and do a dance related craft! That same evening, dancers are invited back to perform at 6pm in our “Uplifted” Dance Concert, hosted by our Zeeland Youth Dance Company! All proceeds from “Uplifted” go towards our K.L.A.S.S. program, which provides free Zeeland Rec programs to children who are in financial need. No experience required. Participants must be potty trained and 3 years old as of December 1.

balance buddies - velo kids

2-5 Yr Olds

Velo Kids and Zeeland Rec are teaming up to bring you Balance Buddies — a fun-filled program where little riders can stride, scoot, and build confidence on balance bikes. We’ll play games, be silly, hear stories, learn new skills, and most importantly… have FUN on BIKES! No need to bring your own — balance bikes and helmets will be provided through the Velo Kids Bike Library for your little ripper to borrow each session. Participants should bring their own helmet (or can be borrowed on site), closed toe shoes and a water bottle. Program notes: Although this isn’t a parent-child program, a guardian should stay on-site and in the area during the program. Only balance bikes will be used at this program (no pedal bikes).

little ninjas

2-5 Yr Olds

Little Ninjas is the perfect outlet for active little ones, and a great way for parents to connect and build community! This program blends fun gymnastics-inspired movement with exciting obstacle-course challenges that help kids burn energy, build coordination, and explore their growing independence. Each class invites children to jump, climb, balance, and tumble their way through playful stations while parents cheer them on and join in the fun. The shared activities create natural moments for parents to meet, socialize, and support one another, turning the class into a welcoming community space as much as a movement program. With its upbeat atmosphere, creative challenges, and family-friendly focus, Little Ninjas offers both a joyful workout for kids and a chance for parents to connect, unwind, and build lasting relationships!

SUMMER FUN CAMP

5-8 Yr Olds

Join us for a fun-filled camp that includes a wide variety of activities for all interest levels! Campers will participate in hand-eye coordinated activities such as softball, ball tossing and basketball, while also having fun with gymnastics, hula hooping, obstacle courses and much more!

pedal pals - velo kids

2-6 Yr Olds

Velo Kids and Zeeland Rec are teaming up to bring you Pedal Pals! New to two wheels — or so close you can taste the freedom of riding solo? Come hang out with us at Pedal Pals – Learn to Bike! Velo Kids and Zeeland Rec are teaming up to give young riders a fun, supportive place to practice and learn to bike. We’ll meet on Tuesdays this summer to play games, be silly, hear stories, and — of course — have FUN on BIKES! We’ll work on balance, safe starts and stops, and building confidence on pedal bikes. This class is for riders who are ready to learn biking on 2 wheels. No need to bring your own — bikes and helmets will be provided through the Velo Kids Bike Library for your little ripper to borrow each session. Participants should bring their own helmet (or can be borrowed on site) and closed toe shoes. Although this isn’t a parent-child program, a guardian should stay on-site and in the area during the program.

Wednesday nights are going to be a total blast! This summer, each Wednesday we’ll be hosting a different exciting theme — and yes, that includes fun options like Blue, Barbie, and K‑pop Hunterix nights! Every class will feature dancing, crafts, music, and snacks all tailored to that night’s theme. Costumes are encouraged (but totally optional), so feel free to get creative or come as you are!
