Join us for a workshop where you’ll sew your very own Market Tote Bag! Designed for participants who've mastered the basics, this class guides you through the creation of a spacious, sturdy tote—perfect for grocery runs, farmers’ market treasures, or beach gear. All sewing machines and materials are included; simply bring your curiosity! You’ll receive one-on-one guidance from start to finish, learning pattern reading and full construction to make a tote for yourself—and one to give.—Prerequisite: basic sewing machine experience.

Join us to design your own homestead criss‑cross apron with purpose and creativity. Whether you’re cooking, gardening, or crafting — this apron is built to serve. Choose from four size options to get the right fit, and enjoy the versatility of a practical, multi-use garment. This isn’t a beginner sewing class, but instead for those comfortable using a sewing machine, threading it, and winding a bobbin. As always, patient guidance is provided by an experienced instructor. You’ll receive the pattern, and all machines and sewing supplies are provided. This workshop is for "Level 3" sewers (see "Sewing Level Guide" below).

  • Sewing Level Guide:
    • Level 1: I have very little knowledge of sewing machines
    • Level 2: I know how to use a sewing machine and I can sew a straight line, thread a sewing machine and wind a bobbin
    • Level 3: I have confidence with a sewing machine and I can do small projects with very little assistance
    • Level 4: I am an intermediate sewer who knows how to sew various fabrics and read a pattern

You’ll sew a charming pincushion plus your very own pillowcase with enclosed seams—developing essential skills like threading a machine, using a pattern, and straight-line stitching along the way. This friendly, hands-on workshop helps build confidence as you create useful projects—ideal for everyday use or gifting—and is tailored to sewing novices seeking a fun, practical introduction to the craft. Sewing machines and all materials are provided. This workshop is for "Level 1" sewers (see "Sewing Level Guide" below).

Ready to turn your sewing skills into extra income? In this beginner-level workshop, you’ll learn the essential hemming techniques needed to alter dress pants, jeans, uniforms, skirts, and more — the kind of practical skills that pay off. Through clear, down-to-earth instruction from an experienced teacher, you’ll pick up trade tricks that don’t usually show up in basic sewing books. We’ll also cover business tips for marketing your new skills and earning extra cash. This is a hands-on workshop — no need to bring anything except pen and paper. All machines and supplies are provided, and you’ll leave with garment samples that you altered yourself. This workshop is for "Level 3" sewers (see "Sewing Level Guide" below).
