Want to get healthier while also gaining more energy, better sleep, a stronger heart, and a happier mood? Running regularly can help — and finishing your first 5K is a fun way to get there! Join our 9-week training program designed for those who want to challenge themselves and cross the 5K finish line! You’ll train three times a week — once with the group and twice on your own — and all group sessions are led by certified trainer Julie Lamer, who has over 35 years of running experience. Julie will guide you through proper warm-ups and cool-downs, share helpful tips on good running form, and support you every step of the way as you improve week by week. The program concludes with the group running the Zeeland Zoom 5k on Tue, June 23!, and your registration includes all training sessions, race entry, and a race t-shirt. 100 Mile Swim Club
8 Yr Olds-Adults
Looking to stay fit and have fun? Join the Zeeland Recreation 100‑Mile Swim Club! Swim 100 miles in 12 months and track your progress with our new digital system or grab a manual sheet right on the pool deck. Whether you're a dedicated lap swimmer or an in-season competitor looking to rack up extra yardage, this is a great way to stay motivated, challenge yourself, and earn some serious bragging rights. All swim strokes count, and miles from open water swims or other pools can be logged too! Monthly standings will be posted to keep the energy high, and anyone who hits the 100-mile goal will score a premium water bottle and an exclusive 100‑Mile Swim Club decal. Start anytime. - Distance Guidelines:
- 100 miles = 165,000 yards or 3,300 laps
- 1 mile + 1,650 yards, 66 lengths or 33 laps
- Length = One end of the pool to the other end (25 yards)
- Lap = Down and back (50 yards)
- 2 miles a week = 100 miles in 50 weeks
- 3 miles a week = 100 miles in 33 weeks
- 1 mile a day x 5 days a week = 100 miles in 20 weeks
