Listed below are scholarship opportunities that the Counseling Office is made aware of.  There are many more scholarships out there – they just require some extra work to seek them out.  Students are encouraged to visit and to research two of the largest, most reputable, and free online scholarship search engines.  Please do not ever pay a fee to apply for a scholarship.  The legitimate ones are completely free.

Michigan Elks Gold Key Scholarship This scholarship provides college funding for a graduating senior who receives special education services at school. $2000 (renewable up to 3 years) 12/1/20
Michigan Mortgage Service Scholarship This scholarship recognizes high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in service.  Careers include: military, education, government/politics, police, firefighters, first responders, doctors, nurses. $1000 1/15/21
Lake Michigan Credit Union Lloyd F. Hutt Scholarship Open to high school seniors who plan to enter a trade school, college, or university in the fall.   Application $2000 (15 awards given) 1/31/21
Deputy David Steenwyk and Deputy Matt Chattfield Memorial Scholarship Open to Ottawa County seniors who plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college and major in criminal justice Application $4000 3/5/21
