Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Program "Student Trooper"

This is a rigorous week-long (June 11-16) program where Michigan State Troopers and law enforcement officers from around the state show students what life is like on the job.

Any Michigan HS student who is 16-18 years old and entering 10th-12th grades who can handle strict discipline, has at least a 2.5, and has no juvenile or criminal record, and has an interest in the criminal justice field can apply.

Michigan American Legion Boys State This is a unique week-long (June 18-24) summertime educational program that focuses on participation and personal experience in a model state, complete with governing bodies and elected public officials.  It is designed to mirror the structure and operation of its respective state government.  The program is open to males who have will successfully complete their junior of high school in the spring of 2023 who have not previously attended.  Boys with outstanding qualities of leadership and character will be considered.  Attendees will have the opportunity for scholarship money as well.  More information is available at http://michiganboysstate.org/ 5/1/23
American Legion Auxiliary Michigan Girls State This week-long (June 18-24) program allows girls from across Michigan to come together, empower one another, and learn how government works in the state.  Girls State is focused on helping young women become tomorrow's leaders.  Applicants must have completed their junior year of high school in the spring of 2023, be keenly interested in governement and current events, have high moral character, show strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate above-average scholastic achievement.  Attendees will have the opportunity for scholarship money as well.  More information is available at https://michalaux.org/girls-state/
