Hello Choir Families,

Your 6th-grade students have been doing a fantastic job so far in choir, and their first performance is coming right up! We will be performing the National Anthem with the high school choir, Varsity Voices, at the Zeeland West High School homecoming football game on Friday, October 6th. This will be a great opportunity to perform with the most advanced choir from the high school, and they will receive a free ticket to the homecoming game.

Schedule:

5:15 pm  Pizza, pop, and chips in the choir room at Zeeland East High School 

5:45 pm  Varsity Voices perform 

6:00 pm  Rehearsal 

6:30 pm  Walk to the stadium 

6:55 pm  Perform the National Anthem 

7:00 pm  Dismissal/Game Begins

Locations:

Drop Off - The entrance to the choir room is located at the north parking lot next to DeWitt Auditorium at Zeeland East High School.

Pick Up - Our performance will be right at the start of the game, and will be very short. Please make a plan with your student about where you are going to pick them up after the game. If you plan to stay to watch the game with your student, they can meet you back in the stadium. If not, I will walk the rest of the students back to the parking lot outside of the stadium, where you can pick them up.

Uniform:

Typically, students wear formal attire for concerts, but since this is a more casual event, I ask that students wear casual bottoms (jeans, sweatpants, shorts, etc.) and a ZPS/Creekside/Dux shirt. If your child does not own any Zeeland apparel, any green and gold clothing works!

Dinner

I will be supplying the students with pizza and bottled water for this event. In addition, I am asking for donations of desserts, chips, and soda. Attendance

All performances are required and graded. However, if your child is unable to attend, please email me by Friday, September 29th to get them excused.
