-- Next Ski Club outing will be January 23, 2020...sign up with Mrs. Nelson in the CBC room by Wednesday Jan. 22  noon deadline(checks made payable to Bittersweet $23.00 if you have your own equipment or $41 if you need to rent your equipment)

 

 

---------------------------STUDENTS--------------------------

--If you like developing and conducting experiments, creating solutions to real life problems, engineering contraptions that enhance everyday life and investigating the great mysteries of the universe through chemistry, physics, biology, geology, astronomy and more then you belong in science club.  See Mr. Fickel for more information or check the link.

--Jukebox Jingles:  Talented ZPS orchestra students will once again bring the giant jukebox to life with live performances of a variety of tunes including blues, jazz, classical, broadway and more. Plan to join us at Cityside at 6:15pm on February 7 for a taco, baked potato and hot dog bar. Entertainment and dinner is just $30 for a family of four! All proceeds to benefit the orchestra program as we celebrate the 20th year of the program!  Tickets may be purchased now until January 29 by visiting ZPSarts.Ludus.com or by order envelope which can be found in the school office.

-- Winter Warrior and Strength Class for all middle school student/athlete, limited to 60 students/athletes. An information flyer and sign up form is attached.

6th grade Art Club will meet on Monday, January 27 until 4 pm.  Please note that this is a date change!  6th grade will meet on Monday, January 27 instead of the previously announced date.

-- 6th grade students: GVSU will be having a summer day camp to introduce student so science, technology and engineering (STEPS).  Applications must be done before March 13, 2020 more information in the flyers and letter attached.

--Cityside's Special Education department is selling Hungry Howie's pizza certificates ($7) and World's Finest Chocolates ($2). Stop by the office to place your order! If you have any questions, please contact Amy Sluiter. Thanks for supporting our programs!

--8th Grade Parent Information Night - Monday, February 3

We will hold our annual 8th grade Parent Information Night on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 7pm at the DeWitt Auditorium (which is located at Zeeland East High School) for current 8th grade students. This will be an important night for parents to attend to learn about the transition to high school. Please contact Jessica Knoth with any questions (jknoth@zps.org).

--–If your child will not be in school, for any reason, you MUST call the attendance line at 748-3205. Thank you! 

--Any message needing to get to a student must be received by 1:15 pm. We call students down at the beginning of their 6th hour during announcements so we are not disturbing classroom instruction time.

—SPORT SIGN-UPS:  All signups will be done online in the Final Forms www.zeeland-mi.finalforms.com. Parents and students need to register once a year for all your sports you will be playing or think you might want to play. Please check your mail/spam mail for confirmation once you have originally signed into Final Forms to confirm your account.  You can also link Final Forms through the cityside.zps.org website under athletics, or you may pick up a hard copy of the Final Forms instructions by the CBC room or in the office at Cityside. Like in the past we need a current 2019-2020 physical dated from the doctor after April 15 of current year to be eligible for all sports. Thank you.
