At Zeeland Public Schools, we’re proud to partner with the Zeeland Police Department to support student well-being and create safe, positive learning environments. One example of this partnership in action is Officer Ousley, one of our dedicated School Resource Officers.

This week, Officer Ousley is visiting 4th grade classrooms at Lincoln Elementary to teach the T.E.A.M. (Teaching, Educating, and Mentoring) program. This important curriculum covers key life lessons like following rules and laws, choosing good friends, resisting peer pressure, and staying safe online.

More than just a lesson, the T.E.A.M. program helps students build strong character, learn how to make responsible decisions and understand their role in creating a safe and respectful community.

We are grateful for Officer Ousley’s consistent presence, positive energy, and commitment to mentoring our students. His work reflects the strong bond between ZPS and the Zeeland Police Department—a partnership built on trust, care, and a shared goal of helping kids thrive.
