Annual Non-Homestead Millage - Vote May 5, 2026

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Zeeland community will be asked to vote on the annual non-homestead millage. This proposal would renew the current millage on non-homestead properties, which include businesses, rental homes, vacation homes, and other properties that are not a family's primary residence. It does not affect the taxes on your home if you live in it as your main residence.

If approved, the continuation of the millage on non-homestead properties and businesses would generate about $12.5 million, or about 12% of the school district’s total general budget. It would renew the current non-homestead millage, so the district can levy the 18 mills on non-homestead properties to receive full state funding. Please get in touch with bnavetta@zps.org with questions, and thank you for voting.

Enrollment Season Continues at ZPS

Enrollment is underway at Zeeland Public Schools for all grades, from PreK through 12, and families continue to show strong interest in the opportunities available across our district.

Along with our strong traditional school experience, families are also exploring specialty options such as Spanish Immersion, ZPBL, and ZVirtual:

Spanish Immersion is one of our long-standing programs. In Spanish Immersion, students develop fluent language skills while learning the district curriculum in Spanish, with both academic achievement and cultural awareness.

ZPBL a hands-on, project-based elementary experience that helps students learn through collaboration, challenges, and real-world connections. Partnering with the Outdoor Discovery Center and Critter Barn, literacy and math instruction remain protected and central, with an emphasis on acceleration and extensions.

ZVirtual offers a flexible, Zeeland-connected high school experience designed to fit students’ lives, interests, and goals, with options for full-time on-campus online learning, a blend of in-person and virtual coursework, or fully online learning. It is a strong fit for students seeking a better path beyond the traditional classroom, homeschool families looking to expand opportunities, and learners ready for advanced coursework, all with Zeeland educator support and meaningful one-on-one attention.

Several specialty programming grade levels have already filled, with limited openings still available in select areas. Families considering enrollment are encouraged to take a look soon. Learn more and enroll.
