After eleven years serving on the ZPS Board of Education, David Lutz has resigned effective May 31, 2013. The resignation is due to a change in residence out of the district boundary, a requirement for those who serve on the board.
Lutz was recognized for his dedication at the May 20th Board of Education meeting. Through his tenure he has held the positions of Trustee, Secretary, Vice President and President. His current term was set to expire on December 31, 2014.
The position must be filled within 30 days of the vacancy, per board policy. It will be filled by appointment.

Interviews are expected to follow with the appointment being made at the next Board of Education meeting on June 17. The appointment will stand through December 31, 2014 with the option to run for re-election in November 2014.
