AQUATICS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

AQUATIC CODY CONDITIONING (ABC)

A full body workout designed to improve your energy level, flexibility, balance, agility and core strength. This class takes place in both the shallow and deep end of the east (warm) pool. All fitness levels are welcome!

  • Instructor: Paula Shivers
  • Day: Sat
  • Time: 12:15-1:15pm
  • Note: Class begins Sept 7

 

DEEP H20

Deep H2O uses the water’s resistance to deliver an excellent full body workout appropriate for all fitness levels. A buoyancy belt is provided to help participants maintain proper balance and posture in the water. $5 drop-in OR $35 punch card (10 punches).

ENERGY H20

This multi-level aquatic class provides a work-at-your-own pace environment. A variety of equipment is used to help increase cardio, strength and flexibility. $5 drop-in OR $35 punch card (10 punches).

HYDRO CARDIO 

A high-energy aquatic class that combines shallow and deep water components for a challenging workout designed to improve strength, definition and endurance. $5 drop-in OR $35 punch card (10 punches).

  • Time: 7:30pm – 8:30pm

 

LAP SWIMMING & WATER FITNESS

Lap swimming and water fitness (deep and shallow water walking) are available at designated times in the pool. For specific days and times, please view our monthly aquatics calendar below. Lap Swimmins is free with a Fitness Membership. No registration needed… just show up!

  • SUMMER Aquatics Calendars (June 1-Aug 31)
  • Free w/ Fitness Membership OR $5 p/visit OR $35 punch card (10 punches)
  • Lap swimming is available for those 8 yr olds and older
  • Split lane swimming is appropriate when there are two swimmers in a lane
  • Swim counter-clockwise (or “circle swim”) when there are 3+ swimmers
  • All lanes are shared lanes and the lifeguard staff will regulate lane usage 

 

MIDDAY MOVERS

Midday Movers is an instructor-led aquatic exercise class designed to strengthen and tone muscles and give participants a gentle cardiovascular workout. Great music, good friends, and lots of enthusiasm is what you will find when you participate in this exercise class! Included in our $15 Senior Fitness Memberships Monthly Fee OR $5 drop-in OR $35 punch card (10 punches).

SUNRISE STRETCH & STRIDE

This class is for the early riser! Sunrise Stretch & Stride is an instructor-led aquatic class designed to strengthen and tone muscles as well as increase flexibility, balance and coordination to carry out daily tasks more efficiently. A great class for those who experience pain associated with arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus or other joint and muscle conditions. Included in our $15 Senior Fitness Memberships Monthly Fee OR $5 drop-in OR $35 punch card (10 punches).
