Tom De Graaf
Although this isn't a great or accurate picture of myself, I thought it would make you all laugh. Our theme this year is "Come One...Come All to the Greatest School in Zeeland". After watching the movie The Greatest Showman this summer, the feeling of that circus reminded me of what we do at Lincoln. Those of you new to Lincoln this year will immediately feel our district mission of Safe, Valued and Loved. On day one, be ready to be greeted by our Be Nice Steering Committee who will be helping our younger students find their classrooms and lockers. Our fabulous staff will also be in the halls greeting you all and helping you find your way.
It has been a rewarding summer with plenty of time spent boating along Lake Michigan's shoreline from Grand Haven to South Haven, as well as spending a week away in Glen Arbor with family. What a week of paddleboarding, hiking and biking, reading and relaxation, and some fabulous meals on the Leelanau Pennisula. It was just what was needed to fuel me up for another fantastic year.
Our kindergarten open house is Tuesday, August 28th from 6:30-7:30. The first half hour students will be in the classrooms, while the parents meet with Mr. De Graaf and the Family & Friends Board representatives in the multipurpose room.
