2011 - 2012 Application Info
A new Free and Reduced application must be completed by each family every school year. Only one application needs to be filled out per family, it is NOT necessary to fill out a separate form for each student. In order to apply for the 2011 - 2012 school year, please go to the "Information & Forms" tab above. There you will have the option of filling out an online application, this is the fastest and simplest way to fill out the form, and it is submitted to our office instantly. Or you may print the form, fill it out and return to any of our school offices. Forms are also available for pickup at each of our school offices. Please allow 5 days to process before receiving your qualification letter.
An information letter is also available under the "Information & Forms" tab, this letter explains all of the information you will need to know about the 2011 - 2012 school lunch program.
If you have not already done so, you may sign up to receive automatic e-mail reminders when your child's lunch account dips below $5. If you are interested in receiving this service, please e-mail the necessary information to Food Service Secretary, Tami Bush at tbush@zps.org and provide the following information:
- The first and last name of each of your students
- The name of the school each of your children attend
Zeeland Public Schools' Food Service Department provides an online program called “Meal Magic." This program allows parents to check their student’s lunch account balance, add money to the account by using debit or credit card, and to view a history of what food their child is purchasing each day. If you would like to transfer funds from one sibling to another, you can access this information as well at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. Or by clicking the Online Lunch Accounts link below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Food Service Secretary Tami Bush at 616-748-3128 for assistance.
Individuals without internet access may feel free to contact Tami Bush with their questions.
Our talented food service staff provides Type A lunches that are imaginative and tasty. A complete a la carte menu is also available. This year's school lunch prices are $2.00 for elementary students, $2.25 for middle school students, and tiered pricing of $2.25 - $2.50 for high school students. The cost of a carton of milk is .50 cents.
More than 4000 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth use the district's food service program daily.
