All students can become productive, fulfilled, inquisitive citizens who are an asset not only to themselves, but to their communities. Our challenge is to enhance the lives of students by motivating them to learn and grow through whatever resources technology can provide.
Technology Plan
During the 2011-2012 school year a team of teachers, administrators, and staff partcipated in a technology visioning and planning process. The work of this group helped guide our updated technology plan.

FBI Safe Online Surfing Internet Challenge
The FBI Safe Online Surfing (FBI-SOS) Internet Challenge is an interactive online program designed to help teach students and parents about Internet safety. The goal of the program is to ensure that participants can recognize and avoid potential dangers associated with the internet, email, chat rooms and social networking sites. The FBI-SOS Internet Challenge is available on the web at www.fbi-sos.org.

Purchasing
We handle all purchases of hardware and software. This allows us to maintain an accurate inventory, reduce un-needed purchases, and get education pricing. Please follow this process for purchases:
- Submit purchase request to the Technology Director via email or the technology online work system (http://whd.zps.org).
- Technology Director reviews request and seeks any additional clarification.
- Request is approved or denied.
- Purchase is made using appropriate budget.
- Software/hardware is received, inventoried, and delivered.
