"Strings Can Do Anything!" Orchestra Performance set for Thursday Night
Strings Can Do Anything!" will be presented October 18 at 7:30 PM at DeWitt Auditorium, Zeeland East High School. The theme for the first ZPS orchestra concert of the year "Strings Can Do Anything!" is the collaborative result of 7th through 12th grade orchestra students rehearsing and learning new genres of music in clinics with the Moxie Strings, an electrifying duo of fiddler Diana Ladio and ceillist Alison Lynn.
Though rooted in tradition, The Moxie Strings offer listeners a unique opportunity to experience two of the world’s best-known instruments and oldest genres through a young, progressive lens. The Moxie Strings’ ear-catching originals and dance-worthy, traditional tunes have been captivating audiences since 2006.
ZPS orchestras are directed by Marie TenElshof.
To purchase tickets in advance call 748-3148 or email lugten@zps.org. Adult tickets are $3 and Youth $1. Tickets will also be available at the door prior to the show beginning at 6:45 for $5 Adults and $3 Youth.
