Helpful information for parents

  • In order to save approximately $7,000, student planners will no longer be provided at Zeeland East and West High Schools. However, students and parents can download the student handbook for 2010-2011 HERE. You may also ask for a hard copy of the handbook by stopping into the school office.
  • Every school district in Michigan is required to report student data by race and ethnicity. If you have not filled out a form for your student, please do so by downloading it HERE.
  • Your child may be entitled to reduced or free school lunches. To find out, download the form HERE
  • Parents of athletes:  the sports physical form you need to complete for middle and high school sports is available HERE.
  • PARENTS OF ATHLETES: Download this helpful brochure explaining the athletic code, injury protocol and more.

Events, concerts, sports schedules, fund raisers etc.

The Zeeland East and West High School chapters of the National Honor Society are pleased to announce their annual induction ceremony will take place Sunday, September 19, 3 p.m., in DeWitt Auditorium at Zeeland East High School.   The public is invited to this cermony at no charge.  There will be a reception in the auditorium lobby following the induction. New inductees will be receiving their acceptance letters the week of August 30.  Although we don't have a flyer, we encourage you to visit the NHS website at:

BRIDGE VOLUNTEER FORMS FOR 2010-2011

Our top priority at Zeeland Public Schools is the safety of our students.  With that in mind, we have adopted a policy that requires volunteers to submit to a background check prior to working in our schools.  We have never had an incident that would prompt these checks, but we feel it is a prudent step to take. Many West Michigan school districts have such a policy in place. If you have questions or concerns, contact Mary Beth Timmer at 616-748-4503.
