3.27.15:  Below is a proposed draft schedule for the bond construction projects.

Construction Flowchart March 26, 20152.24.15:  The bond has passed with 55.1% of the vote. Superintendent Calvin De Kuiper shared the following message:

Our Students Win!

We extend a tremendous thank you to our entire community for voting in the bond proposal Tuesday. Truly, it is a win for all students. Thank you for putting the education and lives of our students first and foremost. It is a true testament to the strong community which we live, work, teach and learn.

Thank you to the countless members of our community who participated in Futures 2025, thank you to all the ZPS students, parents and staff who supported the proposal, and thank you to every person who took time to vote.

Looking ahead, we will begin our work today. We will schedule the construction to enhance safety and security first. Projects requiring a bid process will be organized immediately. We expect to have new entries complete at Quincy, Roosevelt, Woodbridge by the first day of school in the fall, with Creekside also possibly being complete by this date, or close thereafter. Work at Lincoln will begin in the fall, followed by Zeeland East and Zeeland West next summer.

On site construction will begin this spring at both Adams and New Groningen for classroom additions.

Wireless networks will be upgraded to increase capacity in the immediate future.

We look forward to sharing in the progress and providing regular updates in the upcoming months. If at any point you have questions or concerns about any part of this bond, please let us know.

Thank you again for putting children first, and for your continued trust in Zeeland Public Schools.
Learning for Life,

Calvin De Kuiper
